👑 COMMUNIQUÉ ROYAL
MESSAGE OFFICIEL DE CONDOLÉANCES ET D’HOMMAGE
DU TRÔNE DU BASSIN DU KONGO
AU ROYAUME DE TOORO
De Sa Majesté Masambukidi I
Roi du Bassin du Kongo
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
✦ À SA MAJESTÉ LA REINE MÈRE OMUGO BEST KEMIGISA,
À LA MAISON ROYALE DU TOORO,
AU PEUPLE BATOORO,
ET AU PEUPLE FRÈRE D’OUGANDA ✦
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

OFFICIAL MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE AND TRIBUTE
FROM THE THRONE OF THE KONGO BASIN
TO THE KINGDOM OF TOORO
From His Majesty Masambukidi I
King of the Kongo Basin
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
✦ TO HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN MOTHER OMUGO BEST KEMIGISA,
TO THE ROYAL HOUSE OF TOORO,
TO THE BATOORO PEOPLE,
AND TO THE BROTHERLY PEOPLE OF UGANDA ✦
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that the Throne of the Kongo Basin learned of the passing of His Majesty the Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, King of the Kingdom of Tooro.
At this hour, as silence has fallen upon the Royal Palace of Tooro, Our Throne bows with the utmost respect before the memory of Your late King.
The destiny of His Majesty was an exceptional one.
Called to the throne when he was only three years old, following the passing of his father, King Olimi III, the young Oyo was entrusted at an early age with the sacred weight of the crown and the responsibility of safeguarding the legacy of his ancestors.
A child became a King.
A young man became the guardian of a people.
And a sovereign entered History.
For nearly three decades, His Majesty bore the crown of Tooro with dignity and represented his people, their culture, traditions, and heritage with honour.
His reign was that of a generation called to grow under the watchful eyes of its King.
Today, the crown remains, the Kingdom remains, but the voice of the King has fallen silent.
And behind the sovereign whom Tooro mourns, there is above all a son mourned by a mother, a brother mourned by a family, and a beloved human being whose absence will leave a silence that no royal protocol can ever fill.
TO HER MAJESTY QUEEN MOTHER BEST KEMIGISA,
No words could ever measure the depth of your sorrow.
You bore the crown alongside your husband. You accompanied your son from his childhood, even as he already carried the weight of a Kingdom upon his young shoulders.
Today, a mother mourns her child.
And before such grief, even crowns bow.
May the Most High grant you the strength that words cannot provide, the peace that no human being can offer, and the courage necessary to endure this ordeal.
TO THE ROYAL HOUSE OF TOORO,
Please accept the expression of our deepest compassion.
From one Throne to another Throne, from one Royal House to another Royal House, the Kongo Basin extends to you its most respectful and fraternal condolences.
In these days of mourning, we mourn with you.
We pray with you.
And we bow with you before the memory of His Majesty the Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
May his name remain inscribed in the annals of the Kingdom of Tooro.
May his legacy continue to live in the hearts of his people.
And may his memory be passed on to future generations as that of a King who received a crown at the age of three and who, until the end of his journey, carried the destiny of his Kingdom.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
👑 TO HIM WHO WAS A KING FROM CHILDHOOD,
MAY THE ANCESTORS WELCOME HIS SOUL.
🕊️ MAY THE LAND OF HIS ANCESTORS LIE LIGHT UPON HIM.
MAY HIS SOUL REST IN ETERNAL PEACE.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Issued and proclaimed from the Throne of the Kongo Basin,
on this day of mourning, remembrance, and African brotherhood.
