We would like to convey our gratitude to everyone that has been able to build their brick(s) in making this a successful tournament.
1. We thank every single debater who finished all their rounds and set aside time to value this tournament, we are grateful. This tournament would be nothing without you.
2. The judges, even without pay you still did your best to deliver quality adjudication and set aside days off your busy schedule to judge in this tournament. Some even joined last minute to help us out. We are beyond grateful.

Some of Africa's finest figures, but even without pay, they managed to deliver to their best worked tooth and nail to make this tournament successful and even with the many engagements, they were there for us, CAP was a force in this tournament. If Aristotle and Socrates were looking for an apprentice in the current world, Becky will definitely be on the front-line. The amazing blend of humour, critical thinking, objective evaluation and finesse is what makes her special and amazing. She's really pretty too so a little tip to start a conversation with her: Talk about Steph Curry, Klay Thompson or Golden State Warriors. Don't invite her to the court though. When you finally get her number, her WhatsApp status will become your premium memes TV.

Becky is an Open Finalist at PAUDC 2022, Champion and 2nd Best Open Speaker at Mashujaa Open 2021 & Mbokodo Debate Open 2021, Semi-Finalist and 9th Best Speaker at Accra Open 2022, Finalist at African Nations Debate League 2022, amongst others. Becky was a breaking judge at WSDC 2022, 2nd Best Judge at 1962 Debate Open 2021, Best Judge at Royalty Debate Open 2021; to mention a few.
She's also got a solid core adjudication experience, serving as DCA at Pre WW 2022, Royal Rhetorics Women's Open 2022, and also as CA at Mbokodo Debate Open 2022.

Ogundare Taye Oluwatobi or Simeon as I like to call him is perhaps the living proof that if you work at something, you will succeed.

His success story in the debate circuit is nothing short of inspiring. At PAUDC 2021, Tobi went as far as judging finals. He was crowned 4th best judge and new best judge. Asides that, he has made breaks at: ANUDC, NEADC, SIDO, IIT BOMBAY, Grand Final, Western IV, UHURU WORLDS, FINAL HEZADE PRE-WUDC and 30 other tournaments. Since then, his debate career has been on an upward trajectory that doesn't seem to be slowing down.

He's gone as far as breaking at WUDC 2022 and was a panelist for the open quarter finals. Tobi was Language officer at SANUDC. He is on the Language Appeals team at Madrid WUDC 2023, NEADC and Language officer at Campbelltown Australes 2022. A CV as impressive as the owner!

He has served as DCA for Summer Wars, 2022, CA, Zimbabwe National Team Trial, 2022, DCA, Uganda National Team Trials, 2022, Pre-NDC 2022, DCA, Debate A and Petriot Debate Open, Turkey.

Tobi is one to wear his heart on his sleeves. A believer in God. He appreciates even the smallest acts of kindness. He has constantly made contributions of his time and money to help those he deems fit.

Idris is one of the most prominent debaters in Nigeria & Africa. His impressive career has seen him conjure 5 trophies (in major online and physical tournaments) and various top speakers medals (including at PAUDC and ANUDC). As a judge, Idris has recorded 30+ breaks, and some CAP appointments.

Lame is the face of tab in Africa and you can’t tell me otherwise!

When I started debate, I thought tabbing was a god-given gift from birth and only the guy who tabbed dozens of WhatsApp and discord tournaments throughout each week of lockdown was blessed with this ability. Yes, that was how much tab work and more Lame did throughout the COVID-19 lockdown.

Fast forward to revelation of the tabulation secret, though my eyes were opened, yet, I believe strongly that only few others contribute the level of excellence and neatness Lame adds to the team when he's on board. Proof? WUDC couldn't let his Excellence slide. Yep, we're having the one and only Lame on WUDC '23 tab team. That speaks to his hardwork, dedication to excellence and work ethics.

I need not speak more. Ladies and gentlemen, the one, the only; Lame Busang.
