उत्तर क्षेत्रीय किसान मेला 2026 @ बाँदा कृषि एवं प्रौद्योगिक विश्वविद्यालय, बाँदा (उ.प्र.)

उत्तर क्षेत्रीय किसान मेला 2026 का आयोजन बाँदा कृषि एवं प्रौद्योगिक विश्वविद्यालय, बाँदा (उ.प्र.) द्वारा 12 से 14 फरवरी 2026 तक विश्वविद्यालय परिसर, बाँदा में किया जा रहा है। इस मेले की विषयवस्तु “कृषि एवं सम्बद्ध क्षेत्र में आर्थिक सशक्तीकरण एवं समृद्धि के लिए नवाचार” रखी गई है। यह मेला किसान भाइयों-बहनों तथा कृषि जगत से जुड़े सभी साथियों के लिए कृषि एवं सम्बद्ध क्षेत्रों में नवीनतम जानकारियों, उन्नत तकनीकों और नए अवसरों का एक महत्वपूर्ण मंच प्रदान करेगा। मेले के दौरान प्राकृतिक खेती, श्री अन्न फसलें, उन्नत सिंचाई प्रणालियाँ, पशुपालन, प्रसंस्करण एवं मूल्य संवर्धन, एग्री-स्टार्टअप, कृषि निर्यात में FPO की भूमिका तथा कृषि आधारित उद्यमों से संबंधित बहुमूल्य जानकारी उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी। इसके अतिरिक्त, विभिन्न प्रदर्शनियाँ, तकनीकी सत्र, विशेषज्ञों के साथ संवाद तथा नवाचारों का जीवंत प्रदर्शन आयोजित किया जाएगा। यह मेला किसानों, उद्यमियों, शोधार्थियों एवं कृषि से जुड़े सभी हितधारकों के लिए अपनी कृषि को अधिक लाभकारी, टिकाऊ और आधुनिक बनाने का एक सुनहरा अवसर है। इस मेले का आयोजन बाँदा कृषि एवं प्रौद्योगिक विश्वविद्यालय, बाँदा-210001 (उ.प्र.) द्वारा किया जा रहा है तथा इसका प्रायोजन कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा किया गया है। आइए, इस मेले में सहभागिता कर कृषि नवाचारों को अपनाएँ और समृद्धि की नई राह बनाएं। अधिक जानकारी एवं पंजीकरण हेतु विश्वविद्यालय से संपर्क किया जा सकता है।

Today, 'Kisan Samman Diwas was organized at the College of Agriculture, Banda University of Agriculture and Technology. On this occasion, farmers were honoured, and an agriculture-related quiz programme was conducted for students.

Students of the university presented their ideas through a poster competition on the theme “Agricultural Development and the Role of Agriculture in Nation Building.” The winning students were honoured for their achievements.

A one-day Farmer’s Training Programme on “Formulation and application methods of Indigenous Trichoderma spp. for Management of Soil-Borne Pathogens of Major Pulse Crops of Bundelkhand Region of U.P.” was organized in the Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture under the UPCAR Funded Project.

The objective of the training programme is to impart theoretical and practical knowledge to farmers on eco-friendly and sustainable management of soil-borne diseases of major pulse crops through production, formulation, and field application of indigenous Trichoderma spp. About 60 farmers attended the training and Trhichoderma formulation was disrtubed to all farmers for mass development of Trichoderma formulation in compost for field application.

All India Handicrafts Week 2025

Theme: Bright Future of India's Craft Heritage

The College of Forestry, BUAT, Banda celebrated Handicrafts Week with great enthusiasm from 8-14 December 2025, organized jointly by the Department of Forest Products & Utilization and NSS Unit-3!
Students showcased their creativity by crafting beautiful handicrafts from bamboo and wood. On the closing day, an exhibition of their creations was held, and participants received certificates.

A momentous milestone in the journey of agricultural excellence has been achieved!
Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. S.V.S. Raju ji met with several distinguished personalities from the agricultural sector and extended a heartfelt invitation to them for the Regional Agri Fair scheduled to be held at Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda, from 12-14 February 2026.

During these meetings, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor personally invited the following eminent dignitaries and requested their gracious presence: Dr. M.L. Colloquium on International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025: A Resounding Call for Inclusion

On December 3, 2025, the English Club of Banda University of Agriculture & Technology (BUAT), Banda, orchestrated a profoundly inspiring colloquium to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD). Anchored in the United Nations’ powerful 2025 theme—“Fostering Disability-Inclusive Societies for Advancing Social Progress”—the event ignited thoughtful, transformative dialogue on dignity, equity, and the boundless potential of persons with disabilities.
The occasion was elevated by the gracious presence of chief guest Dr. A.C. Mishra, Former Director of Research, BUAT Banda. With his characteristic wisdom and compassion, Dr. Mishra shared illuminating insights that deeply resonated with the audience, culminating in a heartfelt benediction that left every participant inspired and uplifted.
Five distinguished speakers from the university’s constituent colleges took centre stage, delivering eloquent addresses that blended personal reflection, scholarly depth, and visionary ideas. Their engaging presentations sparked a lively interactive session, where they patiently and thoughtfully addressed every query from the attentive audience, enriching the discourse on inclusion.
At its core, the colloquium sought to amplify awareness of the rights, aspirations, and challenges faced by persons with disabilities. It transformed the university auditorium into a vibrant platform where students, faculty, and esteemed speakers converged to explore how inclusive policies and practices can revolutionize educational ecosystems and, indeed, society itself.
The English Club eloquently underscored the transformative power of language, empathetic communication, and cultural sensitivity—tools that dismantle barriers, nurture understanding, and weave a more compassionate world.
The programme concluded on a note of profound gratitude, with Dr. Punam Pandey, Coordinator of the English Club, delivering a heartfelt vote of thanks to the chief guest, speakers, faculty, students, and every participant whose presence made the event a resounding success.
This colloquium was more than an observance—it was a clarion call. A testament to BUAT’s unwavering commitment to building a truly inclusive tomorrow, where every individual, regardless of ability, is empowered to thrive with dignity and pride.

A one-day sensitisation workshop on the topic "Geographical Indication (GI) Registration of Local Products and Authorised User" was organised on November 25, 2025 , at Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda , in collaboration with the Directorate of Agricultural Marketing and Agri-Foreign Trade, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and under the able guidance of the University's Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) S.V.S. Raju.

The Chief Guest for the program was Padma Shri Awardee Dr. Rajnikant, General Secretary, Human Welfare Association, Varanasi , who is also famous as the 'GI Man of India'. Dr. Dinesh Chandra, Assistant Marketing Officer, Chitrakoot Dham Mandal, Banda, participated as the Guest of Honour.

The workshop was attended by all the university authorities associated with Geographical Indication (GI), officials of Agricultural Marketing and Agri-Foreign Trade, Chitrakoot Dham Mandal, related to the identification of agricultural commodities/products, all Directors/Deans of the university, all academic staff, officials of Krishi Vigyan Kendras, research scholars, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), etc., working for Geographical Indication (GI) in the district.

Dr. Rajnikant stated that the registration of agricultural commodities and products derived from them under Geographical Indication (GI) is absolutely essential. This will give the products of the region a new identity and a new direction to their trade. Furthermore, the community producing the products of that geographical area will receive special benefits. After the GI registration of the products, the said product cannot be produced in any other geographical area under the registered name given , and the marketing of the product can only be done by the registered user. Post-GI, the livelihood of the community in the geographical area will be enhanced. With the cooperation of Dr. Rajnikant's NGO, Human Welfare Association, Varanasi , applications for GI for approximately 496 products have been filed in India so far. Out of these, 163 traditional products have already been granted GI status.

The procedure for applying for Geographical Indication and becoming a registered user was explained in detail during the workshop , and discussions were held on getting GI for potential products in the district. The program was organised by Dr. A.K. Srivastava, Director, P.M.E.C. , Dr. Jagannath Pathak, Director, Research , Dr. Mukul Kumar, Dean, Postgraduate Studies, and their entire team.

बाँदा कृषि एवं प्रौद्योगिक विश्वविद्यालय बाँदा के अन्तर्गत पशुचिकित्सा एवं पशु विज्ञान महाविद्यालय द्वारा पशु स्वास्थ्य शिविर का आयोजन

बाँदा कृषि एवं प्रौद्योगिक विश्वविद्यालय बाँदा के अन्तर्गत पशुचिकित्सा एवं पशु विज्ञान महाविद्यालय द्वारा विकास खण्ड बडोखर खुर्द के चहितारा ग्राम सभा में पशु स्वास्थ्य शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। इस आयोजन में पशुचिकित्सा एवं पशु विज्ञान महाविद्यालय के ओर से सहायक प्राध्यापक डाॅ0 उमा कान्त वर्मा एवं डाॅ0 आलोक सिंह ने पशुओं में होने वाली प्रमुख बीमारियां जैसे खुरपका-मुंहपका, गला-घोंटू, थनैला, सर्रा, दुग्ध ज्वर आदि के विषय में टीकाकरण एवं बचाव सम्बन्धित महत्वपूर्ण जानकारियां दी। इसके साथ-साथ शिविर में आये हुये पशुपालकों की समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए उचित सलाह एवं सुझाव भी दिये। विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों की टीम ने पशुपालकों के घर जाकर बीमार पशुओं का स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण कर उपचार भी किया। उक्त शिविर में सहायक प्राध्यापक डाॅ0 दिग्विजय सिंह एवं डाॅ0 अवन्तिका श्रीवास्तव ने पशुओं के स्वास्थ्य प्रबंधन, रख-रखाव के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी दी। पशुओं में बाँझपन और गर्मी पर न आना आदि जैसी समस्याओं और उनके निदान पर भी विस्तार से जानकारी दी। इस आयोजन में विश्वविद्यालय कर्मचारी प्रेमशंकर, उदय भान पाल तथा कुल 67 पशुपालकों ने भी प्रतिभाग किया। पशुचिकित्सा एवं पशु विज्ञान महाविद्यालय के सह-अधिष्ठाता डाॅ0 शैलेन्द्र चैरसिया ने सभी कर्मचारियों को पशु स्वास्थ्य शिविर के सफल आयोजन हेतु धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया, तथा उन्होनें बताया कि 15 नवम्बर को भी इस तरह का शिविर ग्राम कनवारा में आयोजित किया गया था। एवं आगे भी महाविद्यालय इस तरह के पशु स्वास्थ्य शिविरों का आयोजन करता रहेगा।

आगामी 22 नवम्बर को ग्राम मवई तथा 26 नवम्बर को ग्राम महोखर में पशु स्वास्थ्य शिविर का आयोजन किया जाएगा।

बाँदा कृषि एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय और वाराणसी के चोलापुर कल्याण एफपीओ (जयश्री नर्सरी) के बीच सार्वजनिक-निजी भागीदारी (PPP) के तहत एक ऐतिहासिक समझौता हुआ है, जिसका मुख्य उद्देश्य बुंदेलखंड में उद्यानिकी क्रांति लाना है। कुलपति प्रो. एस.वी.एस. राजू की उपस्थिति में हुए इस समझौते पर प्रो. एस.वी. द्विवेदी और एफपीओ निदेशक शैलेन्द्र रघुवंशी ने हस्ताक्षर किए। इस पहल के माध्यम से विश्वविद्यालय की उन्नत तकनीकों और उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले फलदार पौधों को किसानों तक पहुँचाया जाएगा, जिससे कम पानी और शुष्क जलवायु वाले बुंदेलखंड क्षेत्र में किसानों की आय बढ़ेगी और रोजगार के नए अवसर पैदा होंगे। यह कदम पारंपरिक खेती को आधुनिक और टिकाऊ बागवानी में बदलने की दिशा में एक बड़ा परिवर्तनकारी प्रयास है।
