Brayden Ottenbreit Memorial Book Fund

Brayden Ottenbreit Memorial Book Fund A yearly program funded by the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton to promote the love of literacy that Brayden developed during his short life. etc.

Interested groups, organizations, daycares, classrooms, schools. in Yorkton and the surrounding area are encouraged to apply for $500 worth of funding from the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton to promote literacy and encourage a love of reading. Applications are accepted yearly during the month of October. To apply, email a 500-word essay to [email protected] stating the need for literacy supplies and which items are required by October 31st. The funding and book/supply labels will be distributed by members of the Ottenbreit family and the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton after the items have been purchased by the recipient.

TODAY is the FINAL DAY to apply for the 2025 Brayden Ottenbreit Memorial Book Fund. We are currently accepting applications until 11:59pm MST.

This fund was started by the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton as a way to continue the legacy that was started when 5-year old Brayden passed away from cancer in February of 2000. At that time, we, his family, asked that people in attendance at his funeral would donate books in his memory to promote and encourage a love of reading and literacy that Brayden had developed during his short life.
