Today is an important day for me and it should also be to a lot of Canadians. As time goes by I feel it becomes more important because there are so many things that seem to get in the way. I will do my best to remember those who came before me and remember the people that I served with, those that never made it home, and those that are constantly challenged with feelings they can’t shake.

It’s been way too long since I’ve posted anything like but in reality, the often has other things going on… As many of you know, and being a is a rather experience. Add and to the mix, on top of doing whatever it takes to be . I’ve had to decide to a few things in order ; the business transitioned back to a and I’ve had to cut , and I almost never take photos of my anymore. Of course, I have to do that but my reality makes me do what conserves and . All of that to say that I will most likely be putting into an even further freeze. I appreciate the various invitations to some amazing here amongst . I might be able to pull enough stuff together for an event or two but my crystal ball has disappeared.

So, I won’t lie: I’m newish to . I’ve made attempts each year to care for . I’ve been successful with orchids but everything else, not so much… I love the idea and the look. I have a very distinct memory of my mom taking care of plants that sat in the windows around our small house in . I’m beginning to appreciate plants far more and they sure can add a lot to a home. I appreciate the way they change or sprout new parts - it’s pretty exciting!
