A reminder to motorists that school zone speed limits return tomorrow as students prepare to head back to the classroom.

Please watch for children walking, cycling, and crossing streets, especially during busy drop-off and pick-up times. A few extra seconds can make a big difference when it comes to keeping our young learners safe.

Alhamdulillah, we are happy to announce that the registration for 2026-2027 academic session is now open!
This year, we are starting our downtown branch to extend this facility for more interested Bangladeshi families in our community.

Classes will begin on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Prizes range from $200 to $50 depending on grades and positions.

Update on the ongoing Summer Book Reading Contest 2026.

Our young readers in 3 groups in Winnipeg are enjoying an exciting summer of Islamic book reading, learning about Islamic faith and the lives of the Prophets.

Every Sunday, our participants test their reading and learning through a fun Kahoot quiz.

MCC Weekend School is organizing a Book Reading Contest for our Bangladeshi youth community in Winnipeg.

Details are here:
-The contest will be held in three groups:
A: Grades 3–5
B: Grades 6–8
C: Grades 9–12
(Based on the grade your child completed this year.)

-Each group will be assigned an Islamic book to read.
-Every week, there will be assigned readings from the books.
-Students will attend an online Kahoot Quiz every Sunday morning (11 a.m.) based on the pages assigned for the week.
-At the end of the summer vacation, we will announce the winners based on the weekly cumulative scores.

-Awards:
For each group,
1st position- $50
2nd position- $30
3rd position- $25
Also there will be exciting prizes for all participants!

-Registration fee: $15 to be e-transferred to [email protected] to confirm registration.

-Registration deadline: Sunday, July 12

-Weekly Kahoot Quiz dates:

Alhamdulillah, we successfully concluded the Annual Picnic of MCC Weekend School!
It was a wonderful day of learning, celebration, and community spirit.

All students who completed the academic year received their certificates, and the top three scorers in the final exam from both the Middle and Senior Sections were awarded $100, $75, and $50 gift cards. Our top two calligraphy artists were also recognized for their beautiful work.

Every child who attended the picnic received prizes, and families enjoyed a variety of fun activities throughout the day. The energy, teamwork, and smiles made the day truly special.

We ended the afternoon with a warm potluck lunch together, wrapping up with hearts full of joy and gratitude.

Thank you to all parents, students, and volunteers for making this year’s picnic a memorable success!

Following the Middle Section, our Senior Section has now finished their Annual Final Exam as well. The top three scorers will receive prizes.
