Private tutoring can be a game changer for neurodiverse learners. In a one-on-one setting, children receive personalized support tailored to their unique strengths, learning styles, and needs. Whether a child learns best through movement, visuals, hands-on activities, or extra repetition, private tutoring creates the flexibility to adapt in ways that traditional classrooms often cannot.

This individualized approach helps build confidence, reduce anxiety, and create a safe space where students can learn at their own pace without fear of falling behind. For neurodiverse learners, feeling understood and supported can make all the difference—not only in academic growth, but in self-esteem and a love for learning.

Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed in a way that works for them. 🌱

Today I want to share a gentle reminder about something we don’t always talk about enough: being kind and mindful around children who are stimming.

Stimming (like rocking, hand-flapping, humming, repeating words, or other self-regulating movements) is a natural and important way many neurodivergent children express emotion, regulate their bodies, and feel safe in the world. It is not “bad behaviour” or something that needs to be stopped or corrected.

What children need most in these moments is not judgement—but acceptance.

A sideways glance, a comment, or someone trying to “quiet” them can send the message that they are wrong for existing as they are. But when we respond with patience and understanding, we help create spaces where children can feel safe, included, and valued.

Kindness can look like:

Not staring or commenting
Letting children move or express themselves freely
Teaching other children acceptance instead of correction
Supporting caregivers instead of judging them in public spaces

Every child deserves to feel safe in their body. Every child deserves to take up space without shame.

Let’s build communities where differences are respected—not policed.

💚 Green Shirt Day 💚

Tomorrow we honour the legacy of Logan Boulet and the Humboldt Broncos, and we continue the powerful conversation around organ donation and saving lives.

At Katya Dhyana Homeschool Hive, we take time to reflect with our learners on the importance of community, compassion, and giving. Just as we learn from the land about connection and reciprocity, Green Shirt Day reminds us how one act of generosity can ripple outward and impact so many lives.

We encourage our families to have meaningful conversations, learn together, and consider how we can all contribute to a culture of care and awareness.

💚 Wear green
💚 Start the conversation
💚 Share your intentions with loved ones

Together, we grow, learn, and belong.
