Our first event of the year is the Tri-Dojo Seminar, co-hosted by Kildonan Karate, Lac du Bonnet Karate Club, and Nikko Shotokan Karate. Once again, we are fortunate to host Sensei Scott Middleton, Director of WTKO Canada.

At the end of the seminar, Sensei Middleton presented Shodan certificates to those who tested earlier in the year. One student had to leave before this presentation.

Thomas was presented with his Shodan certificate at the end of Monday's class.

Please note that classes at the dojo this weekend are cancelled, as instructors and members will be attending the WTKO Canada Invitational Fall Seminar on November 8th and 9th.

Students, there is still time to register for this event! Saturday in Brandon. Sunday in Winnipeg.

It has been eight years since Kildonan Karate Club became affiliated with the World Traditional Karate Organization (WTKO) and WTKO Canada.

Since joining WTKO Canada, KKC has had the honour of hosting a number of international instructors at the dojo. We have also hosted Sensei Scott Middleton for both local seminars as well as international online camps.

Overall a great lasting relationship that provides so many training opportunities to our members who have traveled near and far for regional and international camps.

SUMMER SCHEDULE 2025

As the calendar flips to June, the summer months are just around the corner! The dojo will observe some reduced hours over the summer. See below for details:

- Young Tigers classes are suspended and resume September 2, 2025
- Sunday classes are suspended and resume September 7, 2025
- The last Saturday class before summer will be June 28th, and classes will resume September 6, 2025

JUNE, JULY AUGST CLASSES
Mondays - All Levels 7:30
Tuesdays - White & Yellow 4:45, Open Training 5:45, All Levels 7pm
Wednesdays - Beginner 6:15, Advanced 7:30
Thursdays - White & Yellow 4:45, Open Training 5:45, All Levels 7pm

Kyu testing this Saturday at the dojo!

The regular 11am All Levels class will be canceled that day.

However there is a 9am Test Prep class open to all students (even those not testing).

At 10:15am we will start with the belt tests.
