Wednesday evening was eventful and full of rain, lightning, and thunder. The weather alerts came in fast and furious all evening, and after watching the sky for almost an hour, it was time to throw in the towel. I think this was only the third evening paddle that I had to cancel due to the weather.
Thanks to those who came out for not getting upset when the decision was made.

A Nopiming water route update.
Wildfire recovery work along water routes is underway in Nopiming Provincial Park. Backcountry campsites on Garner Lake are now open. Crews are currently working on the Seagrim Lake Chain, with a projected reopening of some campsites later in June.
Campsites along all other water routes remain closed. Park visitors can expect a mix of reopenings and closures through the summer season as recovery work continues. Plan ahead and check for the latest updates before your visit at https://bit.ly/4wYeCnk.
