We had a wonderful sunny afternoon at The Forks doing some dancing and videotaping.

We regret that we have had to cancel the Celebrating Cultures Through Dance event at The Forks on September 20th.

However, you can still experience dance culture at the events being held by Village Green English Dancers.

Wednesday, September 17th is our Open House, doors open at 7:00.

Wednesday, September 24th is our Culture Days event, doors open at 7:30.

Manitoba International Folk Dance Association is holding an event on Friday, September 26th.

50 years ago, something special started…

We are looking forward to our new dance season starting this month. We are kicking off the year with two great free events We'd love to welcome you to both and to introduce you to the joys of English Dance.

Both evenings will be held at Harrow United Church, at the corner of Harrow and Mulvey. There is no admission charge and all you need is a pair of indoor shoes. You might also want to bring along a water bottle.

First is our Open House on Wednesday, September 20th. Doors open at 7:00 and dancing runs from 7:30 until 9:30. There will be lots of dancing and live music.

Then, the same week, on Saturday, September 23rd, Village Green is holding a Culture Days event, which is featured on the Culture Days Manitoba website. There will be participation dancing, demonstrations of different forms of English dance and music and food! Again, this is a free event, open to all. This event runs from 7:00 to 9:30.

Summer dancing has proved so popular that we are extending it for another two Wednesdays! Queenston School yard, at 7:00. Free English Country Dancing led by enthusiastic teacher Molly. Come out and give it a try - Wednesday, July 5th and 12th. If weather is inclement, we will move indoors - details will be posted here around 4:30 on Wednesday if location is to change.

It was a hot day, but the audience was enthusiastic about our dancers and music. Hell's Belles Women's Morris joined in the fun. We had a great afternoon helping the Market to celebrate Canada Day!

Village Green dancers will be helping to celebrate Canada Day on Saturday, July 1st at St. Norbert Market. Dancing and music starts at 1:15, with a chance to join in some participation dancing. We'll be joined by Hell's Belles Morris Women. Come on down to the Market and celebrate Canada Day with Village Green!🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

Join us for free dancing "on the green" starting Wednesday, May 24th at 7:00.
Outdoor dancing (as weather permits) at Queenston School - the northwest corner of the school yard - access from Brock Street, between Academy and Kingsway.

If you'd like to join us, come along, and bring a friend!

We'll notify you by 4:30 if the class is to be cancelled or moved indoors. If the weather is not kind, we may move indoors to Harrow United Church, Harrow at Mulvey. In that event, there would be a silver collection to help cover rental costs.
