Yesterday marked a special day at SMA, as we joyfully held our annual December Celebration Mass and Tea. On the first Sunday of Advent, we gathered together for a touching Mass led by Father Gerry Ward, enriched by the participation of our alumnae, students, and staff. Following the Mass, our guests shared conversation and memories over a delightful light lunch. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to those who generously contributed winter wear or donations to Rossbrook House.

SMA Alumna Spotlight: Janelle Nadeau ’04! Join us in celebrating Janelle, a renowned harpist, as she performs 'A Prairie Christmas' on Dec. 5th at 7 PM at Club Regent Event Centre. A Prairie Christmas with The Nadeau Ensemble is a cherished Canadian tradition enjoyed by generations of families. It features classic Christmas melodies played on an array of instruments including harp, cello, harmonium, and hurdy-gurdy, complemented by breathtaking vocals.

Janelle's remarkable journey since graduating from SMA has led her to stages worldwide, alongside icons like Frank Sinatra Jr., Andrea Bocelli, Kanye West, The Who, Diana Krall, and more. Janelle has also performed more than 400 shows in hospitals, palliative care units and care homes. Also, Janelle acts as Principal Harpist with the Vancouver Opera and performs with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.

This special evening at Club Regent Event Centre also features SMA’s talented choir, Con Fuoco, as the featured vocal ensemble. Together, they will bring the timeless classic 'Silent Night' to life in a memorable performance.
