They even had the wonderful opportunity to present in front of the Minister of Education, making this experience even more memorable and inspiring.

✨ After-School Program at Avicenna Academy! ✨

We’re excited to announce the launch of our After-School Program (ages 5–13), designed to serve both our students and children from the neighboring community. This program offers a safe, inclusive, and engaging space for learning, play, and growth — especially for newcomer, refugee, and equity-deserving families.

🕒 Program Hours: 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Ages (5-13)
📍 Serving Avicenna Academy campuses in Winnipeg, 22 South Landing Drive

🌟 Program Highlights:
🎨 Cultural exploration & storytelling
🎲 Interactive play & language games with Smart Boards
⚽ Outdoor sports, games & nature walks
🎭 Skill-building workshops (art, music, drama, gardening, coding)
🔬 Hands-on STEAM activities (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, Math)
🌱 Mentoring & leadership development

This program will offer affordable, high-quality enrichment opportunities that reflect Winnipeg’s diverse community. By blending academics, recreation, cultural awareness, and leadership, we aim to foster confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging in all children.
