Meet the last of the triple threats leading our upcoming Big Broadway Sing-Along!
Em Shibou-Savoie (they/them) is delighted to be performing at this year’s Pride celebration. They were last seen on stage as the sole ensemble member and fight captain of Work Hard Play Bard Theatre’s production of “Boblin the Goblin.” Offstage, Em recently worked as the choreographer & lighting designer for the inaugural production of Springfield Theatre Collective’s “Little Shop Of Horrors.” As a Village Conservatory alumni, they love seeing the joy that musical theatre can bring to all sorts of people. When Em isn’t in theatre land, you’ll find them curled up on the couch working on a craft with their husband and 2 cats (Nixie & Nimbus).

Meet the talented triple threats leading our upcoming Big Broadway Sing-Along!
Jean van der Merwe is a q***r, non-binary singer/actor/clown based in Winnipeg on Treaty 1 territory. Whether it’s their home-town of North Battleford SK, or their new home in Winnipeg, Jean takes pride in their prairie roots. They have performed on stages across Winnipeg, Saskatchewan and beyond; most recently as Hans in Frozen (Globe Theatre). When not performing, Jean can be found playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends, cuddling with their cat Lilith, or watering their house-plants (of which they have far too many).
