With Vance Joy set to play a headline set at Winnipeg Folk Festival this weekend, just a reminder that if you want to know about artists BEFORE they become bold names on posters, we constantly play diverse and emerging acts year round. Joy recorded a live version of "Riptide" when he played a Folk Exchange show in 2013 and sat down for an interview at the time.
Vance Joy, September 9, 2013 Aussie singer-songwriter Vance Joy came to town to play the Winnipeg Folk Festival Concert Series at the Folk Exchange but he found a bit of time to head on down to UMFM and record a couple songs and a chat.

It's time for our annual Winnipeg Folk Festival Ticket Giveaway!
The Winnipeg Folk Festival & UMFM 101.5 are super excited to once again be partnering to bring you an amazing weekend of musical discovery you will never forget.
Our lucky winner will receive One Pair of 4-Day Tickets with Festival Camping, for four incredible days of music, camping and fun with thousands of our favourite folkin' friends - the Winnipeg Folk Festival, running from July 6th to 9th at Bird's Hill Park!
To Enter:

2) Since the festival is about making memories with your buds, tag a friend who you want to be your festival bestie - this is a prize for two after all! Also tag one of the artists you're most excited to see at the Festival this year!
