Lord Selkirk Park Adult Learning Program offers adults the chance to upgrade their academic skills so that they are able to better their lives and the lives of their families through education. We offer quality programming including basic literacy, upgrading, GED prep, assistance transitioning to grade 12 credit courses, and/or training opportunities. There are EA's in the classroom(s) at all times, as well as the instructor to ensure all adults receive the assistance and support needed for success! An informal assessment is completed by each adult registering so that the staff can determine the reading, writing and numeracy level of each learner. Appropriate resources are then selected based on the assessment outcomes and the goals set by the adults registering. Everything is individualized and a program of studies is set up based on the level and comfort of each adult learner.
