Yesterday, I attended Rainbow Resource's Amplifying Joy Conference at the Museum for Human Rights. 250 students and 50 teachers from 50 schools across Manitoba gathered to celebrate our shared community, learn about human rights, and amplify our joy. A huge thank-you to Dene Guilas and the team of volunteers for a wonderful day of learning and celebration.

Congratulations to all the participants in this year's Concours. It was incredible to watch students find the courage to stand on a stage and deliver a speech in French on a subject they were passionate about. It really speaks to the quality of French education in the division. Thank you to the teachers, administrators, and families who were present to support their students. Best of luck to the students who were selected to represent SJASD at the Provincial Concours in May. Félicitations!

The event took place on Feb. 8, 2024 and showcased the amazing work and skills of students in all aspects of school programming, from academic, to technology education and extra-curricular.

The format for the Expo was a mix of an exposition, science fair, mini skills demonstration, and “comic con” and fills a gap created by the cancellation of similar events coming out of the pandemic.
