An energy transition is happening in Manitoba. Is it the one we want? Is it the one we need?

Manitoba Hydro’s 10-year energy plan is before the Public Utilities Board right now, and the PUB is accepting public submissions. The proposed $3 billion in gas turbines and no added solar are just two of the serious questions being raised about this plan.

Join on June 4th at noon for a free webinar featuring three subject matter experts and a walkthrough of exactly how to make your own submission before the June 18th deadline.

Your voice actually has an impact here.

No expertise is required, just thoughts and/or feelings about Manitoba’s energy future.

Over the years, the four First Nations of the Seal River Watershed Initiative have worked tirelessly with the Governments of Canada and Manitoba to shape a ‘star blanket’ of protections. This plan aims to conserve the ENTIRE watershed as an Indigenous Protected Conservation Area (IPCA), but will also include many provincial parks, including a national park reserve.

This plan brings together Indigenous governance, science, and community input to ensure it remains healthy and accessible for all people.

Please join and support their efforts. Both the Environmental Conservation Lab and Wa Ni Ska Tan’s pages have a Linktree, as well as the last slide, which will take you to EngageMB.ca.

Give your feedback on the proposal to tell them you support a Star Blanket of protections for the future of the Seal River Watershed!!!
