Your Grade 3 team has missed you, and they are beyond excited to welcome everyone back for a brand-new year at École St. Anne School!
Here is a peek at what your teachers were up to over the break:
Mr. Hein spent quality time relaxing with his family. A major highlight was visiting Costa Rica, where they explored the country's vibrant culture and breathtaking nature.
Ms. Rachel travelled to Prince Rupert, Jasper, and Banff. She spent plenty of time floating and paddling on the water, taking long walks with her dogs and Mr. Chris, gardening, painting, and building Lego!
Mrs. Westergard enjoyed a fun-filled summer with her husband and their three children. They visited Calaway Park and Cobb’s Adventure Park in Calgary, took a trip to Banff, and soaked up the warm days at Festival Park and the lake here in Whitecourt.
Mrs. Daniel kept busy making sunny memories with family and friends. Her summer was packed with fun road trips and lots of time relaxing around the pool.
They are ready to bring all of that summer energy back into the classroom and are looking forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, new discoveries, and lots of extra art projects. Get your backpacks ready—they can't wait to see your smiling faces on the first day of school!

Mr. Opsal kicked off his summer by celebrating his brother’s wedding—a wonderful evening filled with heartfelt speeches, great music, and plenty of dancing. Afterward, he and his family headed to beautiful British Columbia to soak up the sun, relax on the lake, and spend quality time together.
Ms. Morton made the most of her summer by making memories with loved ones. Her adventures included trips to Edmonton and Calgary, hiking the scenic trails in Nordegg, and spending plenty of cozy time cooking with her family.
We’ve recharged our batteries and are ready for an amazing year ahead. Welcome to Grade 2—we can't wait to learn, grow, and explore with you!

Our Grade One team is up next! After a summer packed with big adventures, cross-country travel, and relaxation, these incredible teachers are recharged and ready to welcome our learners back to the classroom.
Here is a look at what our Grade One team was up to this summer:
Ms. Patey spent her summer relaxing and recharging, which included flying across Canada to visit family and friends in Newfoundland. Waking up by the ocean and breathing in the salty sea air was the ultimate reset before the new school year.
Miss Mitchell made the most of her break by heading to the beach, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with loved ones (when she wasn't dodging mosquitoes!).
Mrs. Barnes had a summer filled with non-stop adventure! Her highlight was travelling back home to Newfoundland for kayaking, hiking, ATVs, monster trucks, and cozy beach bonfires surrounded by incredible scenery.
While the summer was unforgettable, our Grade One team can’t wait to get back into the classroom for a year full of learning, creating, and exploring together!

Mme Desarae and her family packed their summer with adventure, taking road trips to Edmonton to enjoy K-Days and celebrate her son’s birthday at Galaxyland, as well as heading to Grande Prairie for the Air Show. Mme Desarae soaked in the local scenery around Whitecourt, hitting up Carson-Pegasus Lake and Hard Luck Canyon, as well as the golf course and spending quality time at Festival Park with her family.
Our French Immersion team is thrilled to welcome students back! Mme Annie, Mme Desarae et Mme Jess (Kindergarten French Immersion) sont ravies d'accueillir les élèves et ont très hâte de passer une excellente année scolaire ensemble !
