Classic Sourdough loaf.

Unlike commercial or conventional bread, sourdough starts with wild yeast aka a sourdough starter aka a leaven aka levain. It’s simple right?!? I choose to purchase organic (and generally untreated flour). I believe our health depends on it. Using bleached or glyphosate heavy flour can also affect your outcome (and health!).

The first thing to learn is how to purchase (from a local sourdougher like myself) or create a mature and active starter.
