Tuesday: Egg bites (cottage cheese, eggs, ham & spinach)
Wednesday: Bacon & cheese savoury waffles
Thursday: Cream of wheat with brown sugar & milk
Friday: Sweet corn muffins and milk

🍴 Lunch

Monday: Cream cheese sausage pasta with cucumber salad
Tuesday: BBQ pulled pork, rice, broccoli & cauliflower
Wednesday: Beef sausage rolls with pasta salad
Thursday: Grilled cheese sandwiches with tater tots
Friday: Chicken Caesar wraps with apple slices

Monday: Birthday cake and orange slices (It was Britany's Birthday)
Tuesday: Fruit salad and Nutri-Grain bars
Wednesday: Yogurt and mixed berries
Thursday: Mini pancakes with Nutella, strawberries & bananas

🍂✨ Learning through play! ✨🍂

Our little learners have been busy exploring and creating! We enjoyed sensory bins filled with water, rice, and leaves, giving the children lots of opportunities to scoop, pour, touch, discover, and explore different textures. 💦🍚🍁

We also finished adding our handprints to our daycare tree 🌳🖐️ — we love watching it come together with a little piece of each child!

And of course, stickers! 🌈 Peeling, placing, and sticking them is not only fun, but also a great way to practice hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

So much learning happens through the simplest moments of play. 💕

🐞 Ladybug Hunting! 🐞

The children developed a big interest in ladybugs this week after noticing there were so many in our outdoor play space! ❤️

Of course, we had to go on a ladybug hunt! 🔍🐞 The children searched high and low, carefully observing where the ladybugs were hiding, counting how many they could find, and sharing their discoveries with their friends.

We love when the children’s natural curiosity leads the way! Experiences like this give them opportunities to explore nature, ask questions, make discoveries, and learn through play. 🌿❤️

Today our team spent the day learning, reflecting, and growing together! 💛

We took time to review new policies and regulations, make sure we’re staying up to date with best practices, and dive deeper into our FLIGHT work. 🌱

Professional development days are so important because they give us the opportunity to come together as a team, reflect on our practices, ask questions, share ideas, and continue learning how we can create the best possible environment for the children in our care.

We’re always learning — because when our educators grow, our program grows too! 🐧🦩💕

This week we’re saying a temporary farewell to our wonderful Karly as she heads off on maternity leave to get ready to welcome her sweet baby boy! 👶💙

Karly brings so much kindness, patience, and care to Jr’s Daycare, and we know those same qualities are going to make this next chapter with her growing family so special.

We’re going to miss having her here with us, but we couldn’t be more excited for her! Please join us in wishing Karly all the best as she gets ready to meet her newest little love. 💙

This week on the big side, we explored the letter Q — and of course, we have a few little queens in the group! 💕👸

The children got creative making and decorating their very own crowns, adding their own special touches and showing off their royal style. 👑✨

Learning our letters is always more fun when we can turn it into something creative, playful, and a little bit silly! 💜

🍂🍁 Enjoying the outdoors before the cold weather arrives! 🍁🍂

Fall is definitely in the air, and we’re soaking up every bit of outdoor time we can! ☀️ The children had so much fun playing in the leaves, exploring all the changing colours, and enjoying some fresh air together. 🍃🍂

There’s something so magical about fall — crunchy leaves, cooler days, and so many new things to discover! 🧡

We’re not quite ready for winter yet, so we’ll be making the most of these beautiful fall days while they last! 🍁☀️
