Thank you so much to everyone that came out tonight to the WESS Car Show, Barbeque and Plant Show! The goal of the night was to create an opportunity to bring the community to the school and the car community sure showed up! It was amazing to see past students bringing in vehicles, past and current staff roll in (including two past principals), past and present family members of WESS and community members young and old.

Good afternoon, Wildcats! Today’s WESS highlights are all about our facilities! We are so excited to be nearing the completion of our million-dollar school renewal renovations that include a new construction shop, foods and nutrition classroom, lockers, lighting, doors, HVAC, and entryway upgrades! We are also excited to share that we’ve received a capital improvement fund and this summer our gymnasium will see new floors and new volleyball standards, with bleachers and fresh paint to come! There are exciting things happening at WESS!

Today’s WESS highlights- athletics! Not only do we compete in over 22 sports and teams across TVDSB, our teams have achieved some impressive accomplishments, championships and awards. Our staff go above and beyond to make these experiences happen for our wildcats! We believe coaching goes beyond the classroom- and our athletes thrive academically and beyond.

Today’s WESS highlights: Into the W.I.L.D. (Wildcats Inspiring Leadership Development). Since 2013, we’ve taken our newest wildcats on a grade 9 overnight adventure in early September. Led by our senior leaders, we know the power of connecting with our new wildcats from the moment high school begins- this builds the essential conditions for learning and creates the foundation for an awesome high school experience! One more amazing initiative that makes the WESS difference.
