Wabamun School

Wabamun School We are a K-9 school located in the hamlet of Wabamun, Alberta, just to the west of Edmonton. Student success is measured by both academic and social growth.

Wabamun School is in the heart of a family community, and there is a strong bond between the school and the community it serves. That sense of family is reflected in the learning environment, where students feel at home. The small school environment provides opportunities to build relationships with each student, ensuring that their needs are met and that they feel safe and cared for. The school's motto is "The PRIDE of the Community", and we strive to instill the virtues of Perseverance, Resilience, Integrity, Determination and Empathy in everything members of our school community can achieve.

This weekend is an extra long weekend for Wabamun Students.

No School Wed. Sept 30
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which is observed annually on September 30, was created to give everyone an opportunity to recognize and commemorate the legacy of residential schools, which more than 150,000 First Nations, Métis and Inuit children were forced to attend between the 1870s and 1997.
