The Autumn Piano Recital turned out great! Thanks to all the students for their hard work and great performances, and to Harley keeping things running smoothly as a great emcee. Everyone's poise and performance skills are really coming along. My student .jasmine and I played a beautiful Schubert Serenade duet at the end.

When you show up to the Victoria Conference Centre to play piano dinner music for a corporate event and realize there are 900 people there and the event is for every Mayor of British Columbia…. You start to feel a bit… nervous! Then after some self talk like “Sharon, you’ve been doing this since you were 17! Just play and add to the enjoyment of the night!” The nerves fade and beautiful music comes out. The piano bench feels like your favourite old comfortable chair that you just never want to leave. They were such a great, fun bunch! So grateful for these kind hearted people.
The client review: Our organization hired Sharon to play dinner music for our Annual Banquet. Sharon was responsive during the booking phase, easy to work with, arrived promptly, and was incredibly friendly. And of course, Sharon’s piano music was thoroughly enjoyed by our guests. Her professionalism and talent are undeniable.

Just a little note to say thank you for making my 29th teaching year a truly enjoyable one.
Overall my student average on their exam marks turned out to be 5.8% higher than the Canadian average, many completed exams, played more in public, one student is playing piano as a volunteer for a retirement home and another student got a job playing Friday and Saturday nights at Oak Bay beach hotel in the lounge. In addition for many students, the love of music was rekindled to the point that they just want to play every moment of their spare time which for me is the best reward, far more than any external accomplishment, trophy or diploma. It’s the true enjoyment of being able to play a musical instrument and love it! 🎶💗🎶💗🎶
