Congratulations to the two winners of the Positive Action Draw! Steve won the bike tune up from North Park Bikes and Joyce won a month of yoga at Moksha. Coincidently both winners already continually practice the suggested action slips they randomly drew for this contest. Steve uses a reusable water bottle for his everyday thirst quenching needs, and Joyce routinely hands out warm coffees to the homeless population of Victoria. Way to go you guys, enjoy your well deserved prizes!

Students answered the question 'what do you love about nature?' and we received some hilarious and touching responses. The winner from this photo challenge will be announced on Friday March 28, and will get a full day hike package from Rainforest Tours. If you upload a photo of your own before Friday you still have a chance to win!
A big thank you to everyone who came out on Wednesday, and an extra big thank you to our wonderful volunteers!
There's still time to like this page to win a kayak rental (tell your friends!), and if you upload a photo of yourself holding a sign about why you love nature you'll be entered to win the Rainforest Tours hike package worth $283!
Both of these contests end Friday March 28. The winners will be posted to this page along with the winners of the Positive Action Draw. Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favour.
Here is the schedule for Wednesday. There are a few changes so be sure to check out the details!

Today is the Winter Solstice, the longest and darkest day of the year. I encourage all to spread your light with the people you care about. Light some candles, enjoy some winter food, and share some time together. This is a photo from the impromptu 'candle-light outdoor potluck' we had at the last nature day. Thanks to Liz for bringing the candles and everyone who brought their food to share!

Congratulations to Arden! This Kinesiology student works hard and manages the stresses of school life by taking frequent surfing trips with friends. Arden chose to challenge himself to do a positive action of his own choosing- to tell his friends how much they mean to him. I witnessed some true bromance when a good friend of his joined us and Arden greeted him with an 'I love you, man'. Great vibes Arden, enjoy the free coffee!

Congratulations to Laurel on winning her first contest ever! This smiling lady is an English and Environmental Studies double major student who completed two positive actions for the draw. The first action was to 'bring a reusable mug/waterbottle' which she already does, so Laurel chose to pick another action which was to 'brighten someones day by telling a joke'. I wont reveal her go-to joke here, you'll have to ask her yourself! She immediately was able to make the day of a Biblio employee, which ended up being great practice for telling her joke to her boyfriends extended family upon meeting them for the first time- a family initiation practice Laurel was well prepared for. Great job Laurel, enjoy your free coffee!
Hello Everyone, thank you all for making the first Nature Day a complete success, it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces outside on a cold November day. We would love to hear your thoughts on the whole event: what did you like, what could have been improved, what else could be added? This was the first Nature Day ever so there is already much being discussed for next time such as a photographer/videographer, more events happening at the hub, more workshops/skills classes and events off campus. Send us a message or email [email protected].
