Guess who is back teaching yoga at Quantum Yoga Club, at their Fernwood studio on Gladstone?
I teach on Monday December 22 @ 6:15pm. It's a power flow, and remember, you get to choose your hard. Come play yoga with me!
I start teaching regularly on Fridays at 6:15pm. It's an essential Flow class that will kick your butt AND help you grow your practice.
Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces ☺️

I often feel like messages from the universe have to appear before me in ways that feel like yelling for me to "get it". Especially the first photo!
Other times, they're subtle, or I don't pause long enough to notice or take it in.
Messages straight to your heart are always there, if you're watching close enough.
Pay attention. Look at the details. Enjoy your heart being cracked wide open. 💗

I was walking downtown and spotted this awesome signage. I thought to myself, "damn, I am pretty magical!"
If you just had one of those days, I hope this little photo makes you smile.
The madness has to end before the magic can begin. 💗

A few years ago I started practicing writing down amazing things that happened during the year on bits of paper to fill up a jar.
As a way to acknowledge and celebrate the year that has passed, I always open up the jar and read all the love notes I've left for myself.
Reading each piece of paper, I can't help but smile. I recall the exact day and how it felt and its helps me to remember.
2018- turns out you weren't half bad. Though there were tough times, there were more than enough highlights too.
Do you have any New Year rituals that you take on to close off the past year while welcoming in the new?
✨ May this new year bring you the confidence to step into the fullness of who you are. ✨

This December marks the 2 year anniversary of being alcohol-free. I get asked “why?” alot.
My Response is: Why the hell not?!
Alcoholism is in my family history. I do not want to tempt the beast.
This is not my first time taking a break from alcohol. I first dabbled with sobriety at the age of 16 until 18.
Why did I choose to nix alcohol this go round? Truthfully- depression. It hit me hard, like I was contemplating taking my own life. I chose to take anti-depressants to help balance the chemicals in my brain. With the support of friends, family and my doctor, I can now say that I’ve been off medication for over a year and a half.
The point of all this? Do what feels right for YOU.
I know that being alcohol-free isn’t for everyone.
What I do know is that mental health issues are as important as physical health issues. Reach out for support. To me, to a friend, a family member, anyone. We’ve got you. You matter. 💗

**Calling ALL yoga teachers**
Are you starving for quality feedback to help you grow as a teacher? Is there something specific you’re working on and you need further support?
If you’re in the Victoria area, I can come to your class, or send me a recording. One-on-one feedback can propel your teaching to the next level.
If you invest in anything, invest in yourself. I promise, you’re worth it!
This mini mentoring session is only $100.

I first began mentoring yoga teachers in 2013 with Modo International (formerly Moksha) as a Peer Support Guide.
It’s now 5 years later, and I realized that I have mentored over 75 yoga teachers from all over the world including Australia, New Zealand, the U.A.E, Vienna, and Sweden, not to mention Canada and the U.S.
Every person I came across was unique and required me to strategize on how best to connect with them. I learned alot!
I love supporting new and seasoned yoga teachers in their pursuit of greatness both on and off their mat.

Transformation
I will often give permission to let my fear drive me. Instead of acting, as I *know* I can, I freeze. I know that taking action will help to propel my life forward and yet I cannot help but clam up and do nothing.
Can you relate?
Well, today, my loves, I'm officially looking fear in the face, holding its hand, and inviting it along for the ride.
I mentor yoga teachers. I've been doing this work for 5 years under Modo International (formally Moksha). I helped transform new yoga teachers into confident badasses that valued themselves and I loved every minute of it!
And now, you get access to me and all the knowledge I've gained along the way.
Don't be fooled my sweets, this work is not for the faint-of-heart! I will call you up to the best version of yourself, through inquiry, practicing new skills in your teaching and to assist you in figuring out who you are as a teacher and even as a human being.
This program is unique- it is one-on-one, customizable and I work with your strengths to help fine-tune where your opportunities for growth are.
Be warned: Work is required. Honesty is a necessity.
If this calls to you. I'll be here waiting for your questions!

On October 20th, I thought I'd celebrate my 35th birthday in style by becoming a kitten mum?!
This is Aspen. She is a 4 month old little monster, who loves to play (torture?!) her older brother Archer. They have also been known to cuddle up and snuggle with one another.
She squeaks instead of meows and loves to bite fingertips to wake you up. She is a troublemaker, a ball of love and a total turkey! Welcome to my life, little goose. 😻💗

On August 30th at 1pm, I lost my best friend, Moo. Although Moo was just short of 15 years old, we only had 4 amazing years together.
Moo was more than a cat to me. She was my partner in crime, my family, and loved me unconditionally. She kept all my secrets and helped me through the darkest times of my life.
After losing her, I have been nothing short of devastated. She was the love of my life.
I came home after a long day to a beautiful package from Hillside Veterinary Hospital.
Although I am tender about the loss of Moo bear, I know her spirit lives on in my home and my heart.
I love you to the moon and back, Moo bear. Thank you for choosing me to be your Mum.

Last month, I went on another journey with Caroline Cloutier. She is geniune, passionate and an amazing artist to work with.
I trusted her with creating another beautiful piece to wear on my body. I can honestly say I'm in love with her work!
The design was inspired by The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows by graphic designer John Koenig. Filling holes in language, his work suggests new words to express subtle, vaporous emotions that we all might experience from time to time.
Ambedo: a kind of melancholic trance in which you become completely absorbed in vivid sensory details—raindrops skittering down a window, tall trees leaning in the wind, clouds of cream swirling in your coffee—which leads to a dawning awareness of the haunting fragility of life.
While we were doing this work together, I was fascinated by watching the setting sun filter through the window as shadows of leaves danced on the wall.
After she shared the meaning of the word ambedo, I knew it was meant to be. 💗
