The curls straight out of the package are only the beginning! 🌀

My new 26-inch curly extensions are here, and I’m getting them ready for my November installation.

They arrive tightly curled, so I’m washing them with curl shampoo and conditioner, then hanging them to air-dry. This lets the curls settle and gives me a better idea of how they’ll look alongside my natural hair.

Dry, dull, tangly or brassy hair? Your water could be part of the problem.

Hard water contains minerals like calcium and magnesium that can build up on the hair — especially blondes, colour-treated hair and extensions.

The solution isn't always more conditioner. Sometimes we need to remove the buildup first.

My JNS hard-water routine:
• Matrix Alternate Action to clarify/reset
• Matrix Instacure Anti-Breakage or Build-A-Bond to repair + maintain
• Consider shower filtration — remembering a filter and true water softener are different

Over 70% white and grey hair—and she’s still all about bold colour. 🔥

She wanted a look with personality that would also work with her grow-out. Because she’s developed sensitivities to colour products over the years, we keep her colour in foils.

For this appointment, I used a full head of weave and slice foils, with blocks of rich level 6 brown copper. We’re also growing out her previous gold copper, so this transformation is still in progress.
