This week, consider: What question have you been meaning to explore?
Curiosity is more than a desire to learn. It's a catalyst for growth.
When we ask questions, seek new perspectives and remain open to unfamiliar ideas, we strengthen our ability to think creatively and solve problems in new ways. Curiosity helps us connect concepts, challenge assumptions and uncover opportunities we may have otherwise overlooked.
Whether you're advancing your career, pursuing a passion or navigating change, staying curious can lead to greater clarity, innovation and confidence.

What would you learn if there were no deadlines or expectations?
This week, challenge yourself to explore something simply because it sparks your curiosity. Read an article outside your field, listen to a podcast on an unfamiliar topic or attend an event you've never considered before.
Learning doesn't always have to lead to a credential or career outcome. Sometimes the most meaningful discoveries happen when we give ourselves permission to explore without a specific goal in mind.
Curiosity begins when we replace "I need to know" with "I wonder."

Learning often begins with curiosity.โจ It can also become a way to better understand the world around us and the systems we navigate every day.
For Kelly Chhor, the UBC Certificate in Equity Diversity and Inclusion offered space to reflect, ask deeper questions and connect personal experiences to meaningful change. Through the program, Kelly gained practical tools, new perspectives and the confidence to contribute to conversations about equity and belonging in both professional and community spaces.
As we wrap up this monthโs Learning That Fits Real Life series, we are highlighting how learning can support growth beyond career goals by creating opportunities for reflection, connection and impact.
