It's been a jam packed season for lux. dance company 2015-2016 and have much to look forward to as the new year approaches! Stay tuned for our fall/winter newsletter to catch you all up on what we've been up to!

One of the features in the newsletter will be on company member Shelby Arnold who had the opportunity of a lifetime filming music video "secrets" by wild wild horses. Check out the video that was released earlier today, and her experience working on set as a soloist!

Artistic director and founder Moses Asher Christen has worked closely with the man who made this all a possibility for our very own Shelby, and would like to send a big thank you to David Angeleski for reaching out and continuing to offer opportunities to dancers in the city.

lux. dance company completes their first week of training! Ice breakers, drills, happy dances, and castings were what made up the start of the new season! Congratulations to all the dancers who are off to a beastly start!

Speaking of BEAST, today on "In Depth, Close Up", we are featuring one hell of a woman whose position was not only as an apprentice, but as financial advisor. It is rare that I meet anyone with the drive, motivation, passion, desire, will, and want for anything and everything that she invests her time in, to be better than good, but great! On top of it all maintaining a maturity and professionalism I admire, organization skills I envy, and undeniable strength that pushes and challenges the company, myself included.

She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future, she is Sydney Bradford!

We hope you're enjoying your Labour Day long weekend and are ready and excited for the new season to begin!

Today, on "In Depth, Close Up", we are featuring a pre-professional company member whose professionalism rivalled those in the pro company and whose work ethic would eventually find her dancing along side the apprentices. Consistent, reliable, and head strong, she soon would match her mental strength with her physical which found her an aerial hoop solo, a rare opportunity recognized by the faculty at VCS.

She's fearless, she's resilient, she is Tianna Therriault!

We're going to miss you! xoxo

Our next "In Depth, Close Up" is on a guest faculty instructor who has played an important role in the development of lux. dance company's very own director Moses Asher Christen. It is with her passion, dedication, inspiration, and motivation that propelled Moses into the art of dance. Her professionalism is unmatched and her heart loves unconditionally. In the words of el' director himself, "she is a very big reason why I'm even alive today...".

Has anyone told you today how much they loved you? Well if no one has, Sofia Costantini will!

“If you obsess over whether you are making the right decision, you are basically assuming that the universe will reward you for one thing and punish you for another.

The universe has no fixed agenda. Once you make any decision, it works around that decision. There is no right or wrong, only a series of possibilities that shift with each thought, feeling, and action that you experience.

If this sounds too mystical, refer again to the body. Every significant vital sign- body temperature, heart rate, oxygen consumption, hormone level, brain activity, and so on- alters the moment you decide to do anything… decisions are signals telling your body, mind, and environment to move in a certain direction.”
― Deepak Chopra,

You cannot make decisions based on fear. Trust your instincts and follow your heart, for your heart will not betray you!
.. there is still time, no decision is ever final!
