We all need a reminder once in a while of just how lucky we are. "the7dayring" is handcrafted from silver in Addis Ababa Ethiopia by Salem Designs.

It reminds you to seize each day and pursue what you love- because before you know it, another special day has passed by. Like each band on the7dayring, each day we have is fragile, beautiful, and precious. What makes the ring even more precious is that the profits go towards The Girl Fund; an initiative created by imagine1day to educate girls and elevate communities in Ethiopia. Let's elevate our

Thank you for following along the past couple of months as we took a look back at our journey here at the7dayringproject! We can honestly say that our lives have changed significantly because of this social enterprise, which is why our decision to stop the7dayringproject operations is a tough one to announce. As this decision did not come lightly or easily, after much thought, discussion, and consideration, we believe it is the best moving forward. Though this may be bittersweet, we wanted to take the time to reflect on the incredible impact that the brand has had on our charity partners, Salemโ€™s Designs, and the community around us locally and globally. From the bottom of our little hearts, we THANK YOU.

After working over a year with just an army of two, we decided to grow our team, as our company grew, and boy, was that the best idea! 11 amazing, passionate, beautiful and driven women joined our team. We are forever grateful that they saw something in 7DR and wanted volunteer to invest their time, energy and heart into something that we created. ๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ We are so proud of what this team has done!

Through our amazing 7DR community, we also started partnering with individuals that we saw were seizing the day in their own unique ways and were an amazing reflection of our team values. Check out these kickass ambassadors: Steph Yu at Happy and Healthy, Victoria Duffield , and The Katherines ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’•

With such a successful Year 1 behind us, we were excited to see where Year 2 would take us. One of the many things we admired about imagine1day is that they are constantly looking for ways to grow their impact. The Girl Fund made a strategic change to invest more of their resources into working directly with communities to tear down the barriers that prevent girls from getting the education they deserve. Instead of scholarships, our profits now went towards Girls Clubs where more girls will be reached and empowered ๐Ÿ’•

For our first year of operations, we donated our proceeds from every ring purchased towards imagine1dayโ€™s Girl Fund. Working exclusively in Ethiopia, we believed this was the perfect way to bring our model back to where it all began ๐ŸŒ The Girl Fund funded high school scholarships for girls to pursue their high school education and inspired community members to stand for their girls.

The real MVP is our lovely friend over at Salem's Ethiopia. Salem lives in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and is the creator of our product. Living in a society where the odds are stacked against the success of women, she chose to seize each day and followed her passion to make beautiful jewelry. She went after a mission to leave the world in a better place. the7dayringproject proudly pays Salem at store price, allowing continued growth of her business.

We (Taylor and Peony) launched the7dayringproject on December 6, 2015 with hopes to encourage others to make the most of their days, no matter what that may look like. We wanted the 7dayring to serve as that reminder ๐Ÿ’›
