Copia exists to educate, inspire, create connections, support Spirit Ventures, drive revenues, and sometimes also to entertain and make space for hard-working creatives to let off steam. Our regular monthly events take the form of inspiration-enhanced networking roundtable meetings where everyone gets to speak to the whole room and lots of 1-on-1 and small group conversations happen as well. Our s
pecial events include featured speaker presentations on a wide range of dynamic and high value subjects, training on how to get the most out of our community, trade exhibitions, retreats and visioning circles. COPIA IS FOR BUSINESS. We have professional crushes on hundreds of entrepreneurs. We totally dig start-ups and innovative joint ventures. And we believe socially responsible corporations do more to change the world for the better than even the most progressive government or grassroots organization. Actually, we think the best businesses are grassroots organizations (they’re just well-tended and groomed) and we want Copia to be both fertile ground to help them grow and the Town Hall or Barn Raising that brings all the farmers together in support and celebration. COPIA IS FOR INDIVIDUALS. You know those entrepreneurs we love? They’re people first. While entrepreneurial spirit is probably in-born, none of us were entrepreneurs before we got a business launched. And those corporations? Well, they employ 10s and 100s and 1000s of people who together help build communities. And we like that. People and communities are kind of our thing. COPIA IS FOR SERVICE. Life is just better when we make a difference. That single, unifying inspiration is how we got here and remains the first filter for every decision we make. Copia is a place where dreams are encouraged… where crazy ideas are part of normal, everyday conversation… where both passion and compassion are integrated parts of the emotional lexicon… and where visioneers feel right at home. Copia was founded by Alanna Fero (www.alannafero.com) in December of 2011 and had its first roundtable in March of 2012. As of January 2014, we've held almost 200 events and reached over 5000 people in person, thousands more online.
