Dear Students,
The Pacific Spirit Regional Park (located next to campus) offers a network of trails contained in more than 750 hectares of forest. The trails in the park are popular with local residents and accessible year-round. The best way to explore the park is to view the park map and determine your own route. A full walk/hike will be approximately 10 kilometres/3-hours, easy difficulty level and relatively flat, that will take you through much of the forest. The park is dog friendly. You can see the trail map, including the most commonly used trail head (access point) here: https://www.vancouvertrails.com/trails/pacific-spirit-regional-park/
Feel free to find a walking buddy (or group of colleagues) and walk/hike anytime. New students, and those that want to catch up with friends before the start of the new academic year, a group will be meeting up in the Grad Lounge (2nd floor of Allard Hall, to the left of the library entrance) at 10am on Wednesday, August 30 to grab some snacks before heading out to the park.
