Bully Free Zone Canada’s mission is straightforward: to make every school and workplace in Canada a BULLY FREE ZONE. Bullying has become an epidemic in our society. It’s time for ALL of us to take a stand. What will YOU do to end bullying?

BFZ (Bully Free Zone) Canada was inspired by Joanne Greenwood's personal experiences growing up. Having suffered years of abuse and torment by bullies at school as a teen – to the point where she wanted to take her own life – Joanne knows all about the devastating emotional damage that bullying can have. Joanne has come to realize that a few committed individuals CAN become a very powerful force for positive change.
As one of its very first initiatives, Bully Free Zone Canada developed anti-bullying resource kits for BC classroom teachers. As the BFZ initiative grows, we will be growing our toolset, from speaking engagements to a unique peer-to-peer program.
