Moving to Australia from Canada has been the most unexpected and amazing decision. I’ve met people from all over the world, we’ve gotten to share our culture through walking around the city, hiking on the blue mountain, surfing and learning what Sydney’s pub culture is all about. Two weeks spent in Bellingen, a small picturesque town that was a refreshing change of pace after being in big cities. I got the chance to experience rural Aussie living doing a workaway exchange, and highly recommend it to anyone who also enjoys getting into nature and a laid back lifestyle.

Our first official road trip in our home on wheels, driving around the northland with all the freedom in the world was truly the best experience ever!
From visiting crystal clear freshwater lakes 🌊 , driving through the Waipoua forest 🌿, standing on top of New Zealand by the Cape Reinga Lighthouse ☀️, visiting tranquil waterfalls just short hikes off the road 🏞️, to swimming and playing beach volleyball in the most gorgeous bays 🐚, New Zealand truly has everything!
Travelling in a van is definitely one of the best ways to explore New Zealand at your own pace, picking one of the many freedom camping spots to stay the night and wake up to beautiful views.
