DigiBC is looking for experienced professionals in Animation, VFX, Games, and XR to become mentors through DigiConnect, our mentorship program supporting students as they transition into the creative tech workforce.

Mentors should have 4+ years of industry experience and be able to dedicate 5-7 hours total over 4 months. DigiBC provides mentor training, resources, and ongoing support throughout the program.

Registration is open for DigiCamp: Animation Magic!

Aspiring creators ages 10–14 are invited to join Alchemy VFX from August 25–27 at the Centre for Digital Media in Vancouver for three days of 3D animation, visual effects, and storytelling.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of 3D animation, create their own magical visual effects, and bring an animated story to life.

Thanks to support from Netflix, a limited number of spots are available free of charge through this DigiBC DigiCamp program.

Less than 5 funded spots remain for the fall semester in the DigiBC Work Placement Program.

If you've been thinking about hiring through the Work Placement Program, now is a great time to apply. Eligible BC creative technology employers can receive up to $5,000 to support placements that are at least 12 weeks long and 15 hours per week.

We'll help you through the process, from posting the role and connecting with students to managing the wage subsidy paperwork, so you can focus on finding the right fit for your team.

Funding is limited and available on a first-approved basis.
