In my second year of university I failed two exams in a row. The first was a midterm in an introductory organic chemistry course. I had scored 46%, well below the 'mercy pass' threshold. I was just messaging one of our board members about the upcoming year when we both came to the (slightly terrifying) realization that we are about to enter our third year in our respective programs- for him, a combined major in business and computer science and for me, biochemistry.
