Update: Kfir is recovering 🙏 He is facing a prolonged recovery process; he may need to undergo surgery and other treatments, but he is expected to be fine. The one from the encounter is no longer with us though, so justice was served.

”After a long working session with the Head of the IDF Krav Maga Division, who I believe is doing an excellent job. We wrapped up by conducting an observation tour of an active Krav Maga instructors’ course currently being delivered within the IDF.

Like it or not, the war is generating a wealth of operational insights, driven by an almost endless number of close quarters incidents.

Therefor the synchronization between training doctrine and operational field in the IDF is reaching a new level. The Krav Maga Division of the IDF is doing serious work in research, continuous learning, and maintaining a tight connection to the real world.

The quality of the instructors produced by the IDF is high, and that has a direct and significant impact on the fighters on the ground.

It’s a great honor to be part of this major movement taking place within the IDF.״

Head of INSTINCT Kfir Itzhaki has been selected to serve as the head of close-quarter combat of the new elite unit of Hashmonaim Brigade - the first Ortodox elite unit ⚔️ in the IDF 🇮🇱
Kfir writes:
Staff preparation for the Hashmonaim elite Unit. Present: the unit commander, deputy commander, team commander, paramedic, project coordinator, logistics NCO, spiritual supervisor, Haredi policy supervisor, and myself as head of close-quarter combat.

There is a special atmosphere here - a sense that something significant is happening. Our coordination is strong, and we are creating a high level of cohesion to achieve the best possible outcome.

Those accepted into the Unit are the brigade’s top fighters, selected after about a year of service.

With God’s help, we will succeed in this highly meaningful step of establishing the first elite unit in the IDF.
