Imagine Manufacturing 2025 was all about community, collaboration, and celebration, bringing together our newest second-year students, faculty, and staff for an unforgettable start to their journey in Manufacturing Engineering. 💡⚙️ From lab tours to team-building and plenty of laughs along the way, this day set the tone for the years ahead.

We can’t wait to see what you’ll create and the impact you’ll make. Here’s to the start of something amazing!

At the heart of MANU is the drive to build.

UBC Manufacturing students have access over 35+ design teams and project-based clubs, including Formula UBC, Thunderbots, UBC Orbit, SUBC, UBC Baja, and more. From autonomous robots to solar vehicles and underwater drones — there’s something for every maker.

Thinking about joining one? This could be the year you find your team, your project, and your people.

Once you’re here, the real work begins.
MANU is where ideas take shape, and where concepts turn into working prototypes that can change industries. With state-of-the-art labs and a strong focus on hands-on learning, you’ll get the chance to design, test, and refine real-world solutions from the ground up.

This year, we want you to dream bigger. What project do you want to take from an idea on paper to a functioning build? How will you leave your mark in the labs, on your team, and in the program?

💡 If you’re just starting out, it might be worth exploring what excites you most — don’t hesitate to ask questions or join a project that seems out of reach.
💡 For those returning, this could be your opportunity to expand your toolkit, guide others, and test the limits of your creativity.

We’re proud to announce that the UBC Manufacturing Engineering program has received full six-year accreditation—the maximum possible term—from the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB), effective through June 2031.

This achievement reflects the program’s strong academic standards, commitment to continuous improvement, and the collaborative efforts of our faculty, students, and staff.

Congratulations to the entire UBC Manufacturing community on this milestone!
