It has been an honor to speak at the Spring Meeting of the IAO Ontario Chapter in Toronto. Finding myself sharing such an important stage with Dentists and Orthodontists, introducing Clinical and Scientific evidence, in regards to dysfunctional swallowing and receiving such positive feedback and cooperation perspectives, is about the best thing that I could aspire to. After in Italy we are back in Canada for the AOMC Conference in Toronto.
Introducing the integration of Froggymouth inside orofacial myology and SLP protocols.
Also, in this occasion, I have to point out that only two dentists were in the room, and this is sad.
The multidisciplinary approach is something that must be taken into consideration when treating patients; especially when dealing with disfunction treating orthodontically to manage skeletal and functional malocclusions. The amount of knowledge that can be shared between osteopaths, SLP’s and Orofacial Myologists is a gold mine that has to be acknowledged into building clinical shared guidelines for patient’s protection.
and will continue working, together with our partners, creating this cultural bridge to close the gap.
