Minister Fraser announced six new immigration programs:

1. A new PR pathway for workers in the STEM sectors

2. Global Talent Stream work permits will be processed within two weeks

3. SUV program applicants!

IRCC will start prioritizing certain applications that have investment capital committed or an endorsement from a specified partner

4. Canada will be developing this year a specific stream for highly sought after workers in the tech sector to come to Canada, whether they have a job or not.

5. A new Digitial Nomad stream will be developed allowing international tech workers employed by a foreign company to come to Canada to work for their employer for up to six months at a time. If they find a job in Canada while they are here, they will be allowed to stay.

6. As of July 16th, IRCC will allow 10,000 H1B holders in the US to come and work in Canada.
