Congratulations to Vancouver Social Value Fund on its sixth investment in a Victoria based vegan seafood company Save Da Sea Foods.
The team was very impressed with the company's sales growth, future plans for both product and geographic expansion. VSVF team also wanted to support the following impact: company's contribution to a solution for the overexploitation of salmon stocks, its female founder and her leadership style, and supporting a plant based company.

Our Social Value Fund teams focus on meaningful solutions for challenges facing their local communities.
Each fund defines its investment thesis based on an identified funding gap to support social value organizations that are often left behind by traditional investment models.
Our student teams are fully empowered to make these decisions autonomously, while leveraging a national network of advisors, funders, and other social value funds.
Our team at National Social Value Fund supports the work of local funds through knowledge exchange, training, facilitating connections across different networks, and operational support, thus creating a unique local in scope, national in scale funding model for Canada's social enterprises.
