We’re pumped to announce that our March casting director will be the amazingly talented actress and casting director, Caitlyn Bairstow!

In this workshop we will be covering what big sound studios like GGRP are looking for, the do’s and don’ts of commercial auditioning, and how to take your animation performance to the next level.

With almost ten years in the voice-over scene, Caitlyn has built an impressive career on both sides of the glass. She’s got a killer resume, recently snagged a nomination for an anime character Voice Arts award, and has been busy casting for big brand commercials and directing video games and promos.

As a voice performer, you’ve probably heard her in a bunch of cartoon and video game projects like Mega Man: Fully Charged, Spy Kids: Mission Critical, LEGO Friends, Gigantosaurus, World Trigger, Coach Me if You Can, Dragalia Lost, Torchlight: Infinite, and more. She’s also the voice behind commercials for Sport Chek, Michael Hill, Subway, UI Path, Mississippi Tourism, and Gov. of Manitoba.

When she’s not performing, Caitlyn is busy in her role as the studio coordinator at Vancouver Audio House GGRP Sound, where she handles all voice casting duties, as well as voice directing. She has cast for such commercial brands as, RAID, Nintendo, Translink, Tourism Yukon, ICBC, Coast Capital Savings, Moxies, Curling Canada, WorkSafe BC, the Chop Steakhouse, etc. She also cast and voice directed for the video game, LaTale Remastered and several of its animated promos.

In this in person workshop Alistair will be covering MP3 auditions, commercials, and video games.

Alistair Abell has been a professional actor since 1992, starting his career off with a bang, acting alongside Russell Crowe. Since then, he has accumulated over 170 TV/Film credits and over 2000 voice over credits. In 1997 Alistair started his own casting company Ready, Willing, and Abell and began casting and directing Voice Over for projects across North America. He specializes in commercial, animation, video games, and motion capture. Alistair has a long standing casting/directing relationship with EA Games, Disney/Pixar, Capcom, Teletoon, Paramount, and Hallmark, to name a few.
