Baking is more than just making a snack; it’s a full-body workout for a child’s brain! 🧠✨
​Today at the daycare, we put on our chef hats for some "Baking Time." While the kids were busy whisking and adding raisins, they were actually practicing some incredible life skills:
​Fine Motor Control: Cracking eggs and steadying a whisk builds the small muscle control needed for writing.
​Math & Science: We explore volume through measuring cups and witness the "magic" of how liquid turns into solid in the oven.
​Independence & Choice: By letting children participate in the process, they gain a sense of agency and confidence in their own abilities.
​Expanding Palates: Kids are much more likely to try new foods (like these delicious strawberries!) when they’ve had a hand in preparing the meal.

A "dino-mite" day of discovery! 🦕🔨
​There’s nothing quite like the excitement of cracking open a dinosaur egg. This activity is a favorite for a reason—it turns fine motor skill practice into a thrilling adventure!
​Through play, our little ones are developing the focus and hand strength they’ll need for writing and drawing later on. Plus, who doesn't love a surprise dinosaur? 🦖💛

April is The kids turned into little dental pros, practicing their brushing and flossing skills on our crocodile friend. We even did a little experiment starting with dry brushes and then switching to toothpaste to show them how those bubbles really get the job done—they loved seeing the difference!
