What an amazing day at the Windsor-Essex Fitness Expo!

We had such a great time connecting with the Windsor-Essex community at the LaSalle Event Centre this past Saturday! Our Massage & Hydrotherapy students were busy throughout the event, providing hands-on experiences for event attendees and fellow exhibitors alike. 💆‍♀️

We were pleased to welcome OPP Officer Brett and Stephanie, an OPP Social Worker, to campus for a special guest presentation with our Addictions and Community Service & Mental Health Worker students.

The presentation focused on the OPP Mobile Crisis Response Team and the important role they play in responding to individuals experiencing mental health or addiction-related crises. Students learned how OPP officers work alongside mental health and addiction professionals to support individuals in crisis, de-escalate situations, promote safety, and connect people with appropriate community supports.

Thank you to Brett and Stephanie for sharing your knowledge, experience, and real-world insights with our students. These conversations provide valuable opportunities for students to better understand the importance of collaboration between law enforcement, mental health professionals, and community services.
