🌾 Today, we come together to honour Vaisakhi 🌾 — a festival rich in tradition, history, and meaning. 
 
For many, it marks the joyous harvest season, a time to give thanks for abundance and hard work. For the Sikh community, it is also a deeply spiritual day that commemorates the birth of the Khalsa, a symbol of courage, equality, and collective strength.
 
Also, in Northern India, this is the time when the wheat crop is ready to be harvested and so people from all religions and communities use and celebrate this day to thank the gods for a good harvest which will in turn ensure sustenance and income for them
 
At our college, Vaisakhi reminds us of the beauty in our diversity and the strength found in unity. It’s a time to reflect on our roots, to honour the values of resilience and compassion, and to celebrate the vibrant cultures that make our community so special. 
 
Whether you’re gathering with loved ones, preparing traditional meals, or simply taking a moment to reflect — may this day bring you peace, joy, and connection.
 
Let us continue to learn from one another, lift each other up, and create spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and celebrated.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Join us for a powerful and inspiring event showcasing a collaborative video presentation created by Keyano College, the RMWB, and other community members. Together, we explore the meaning of accessibility and its impact on our community.

Theme: What does accessibility mean to me?

Winter Holidays Trivia for Students!

The Keyano College Library will be hosting a Winter Holidays Trivia event in King’s Lounge on Wednesday, December 4th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for Students.

Trivia will be played in teams of 4; you can play with friends, or if you are registering alone we will assign you to a team!

Trivia categories are: Traditions (winter, holidays, food), Winter (weather, plants, landscape, nature), Holidays, Sports, Literature and Adaptations, Movies and TV, and Music.
