Thank you to those who purchased Remembering Michael in 2021! We just made our yearly donation of 15% of our yearly earnings to BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre; our donation this year was made in support of Breast Health. We couldn't have done this without our supporters.

We are incredibly excited about our upcoming project called Wander + Wonder, which is an immersive, self-led writing walk experience that will be set up this spring at Whatshan Lake Retreat for public enjoyment. Participation in this writing walk is free, and there will be opportunities for participants to share their writing online if they choose to do so. For more information, please visit www.rootedinwriting.ca/wander-wonder

This project wouldn't have been possible without the sponsorship of Columbia Basin Trust and Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance. The beautiful signage for this process was locally made by Selkirk Technology Access Centre. Thank you also to The SPIRIT Sticker Initiative for your support and wisdom on the collaboration regarding the land acknowledgment and the Indigenous learning from the land sign.

We hope everyone can gain some wisdom from the land, the here and now, and their own reflective practice in this place-based learning experience.

To our aspiring writers, deep thinkers, dreamers, and wellness advocates,

We are coming on here today to share an exciting update about our writing for self-development program, Write to Grow: Journaling through the Social Determinants of Health.

After putting much thought into the accessibility of the program, Rooted in Writing has decided to offer Write to Grow on a sliding scale to help those experiencing financial barriers to therapeutic writing or other mental wellness services gain access to this program. Accordingly, Write to Grow is now offered in the following tiered price ranges:

Base Price: $299

Sliding Scale Level 1: $199 (Use code SAVE100 at checkout)

Sliding Scale Level 2: $99 (Use code SAVE200 at checkout)

Interested participants can use the above codes to access the program at a lower price, no questions asked. For those who are able to comfortably afford the full program cost, please consider doing so to help us maintain our facilitator wages, business costs, and other miscellaneous fees so that we can continue offering therapeutic programs such as Write to Grow in the future.

If Write to Grow still feels inaccessible to you, please contact the Write to Grow facilitator at [email protected] to discuss further options.

Interested individuals can sign up for Write to Grow at www.rootedinwriting.ca/write-to-grow

Thank you for your continued support!
