Found on the TGS page... The passing of the great 'Dickie' Moss ..... He was headmaster of the Lower School when I was there, a great character and teacher....and he taught my father and a couple of his brothers when it was Rowland Hill School prior to it becoming Somerset Lower School....RIP Mr Moss....

Another memory of the Lower school... I remember a period when there was either band or choir practice or something going on. It always co-insided with German and Latin classes and there was alway half the classes missing and so Payne would send a message over to Tunley and we used to go out and play each other at football.........

Another two pics I found from Bink Venery on another page.. c1987/8 ( Great insight into taking these). This time showing the back playground between the science block and the old building with the covered walkways... Used to play 6 a side football in this area.... After the fire loads of desks were stored under the canopies....Blooming football got stuck on these canopies as well.... sometimes I think all we did was play football....
