Our Grade 11 and 12 Physics students recently took their learning outside the classroom with a field trip to Lee Lifeson Art Park with their Physics teacher, Ms. Sophie.
During the trip, students carried out a movement experiment, using slow-motion video to observe what happens during collisions. By analyzing these recordings, they explored how impulse, force, and momentum are connected in one-dimensional impact events.
Working together in a real-world setting gave students the opportunity to test ideas, make observations, and see physics concepts in action. It was a valuable hands-on experience that made learning both engaging and meaningful.
