Conscious Minds Co-op

Conscious Minds Co-op is seeking two Cooks for our annual youth-led summer camp! We have had an established, youth led summer camp since 2014– primarily volunteer based and community focused. We strive to provide the summer camp and out of city camping experiences for all participants regardless of their socioeconomic status and identity, allowing all to immerse themselves in nature and access green spaces. We are looking for two food coordinators who are community focused and have the ability to work with and for large groups. We run with the belief that all hands are on deck, and encourage our campers to immerse themselves in preparing their food. Being aware of what we consume, how it reaches our plate, and being physically connected to the process of eating is of utmost importance. A Food Coordinator who can work with rotating small groups of participants to instruct them in preparing and serving their food is optimal. Meals that prioritize holistic ingredient sourcing, culturally diverse recipes, and are as environmentally sustainable as possible are our main goal.
