Brothers and sisters, it is so easy to be captivated by what we can see on the surface. The world constantly pressures us to build the "mansion" to chase the flash, the wealth, the status, and the superficial success that looks absolutely perfect from the street. But we have to ask ourselves:

what lies beneath?

When we skip the essential, quiet work of knowing God, our impressive lives are built on fractured pillars. Like the mansion in this image, a life built on worldly success without spiritual depth is fragile, held together only by the heavy chains of anxiety, pride, and ultimately, emptiness.
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus tells us about two builders.

The foolish builder rushed the process and built his house on the sand. But the wise builder dug deep and built his foundation on the solid rock. The humble home might not draw the world's applause or make the cover of a magazine, but look at its foundation: it is solid, deep, and unshakeable because it is rooted in faith.

The enemy wants you to skip the foundational work. He wants you to scroll past the truth, rush through your busy days, and leave your Bible closed on the shelf. He promises quick, beautiful results with no roots. But God wants you to read. He wants you to open His Word, to seek Him daily, and to build your life from the ground up.

When you build your life on the truth of God's Word, you are laying stones that will never crack under pressure. So that when the storms of life inevitably come and they will come, your house will not fall. Don't settle for a beautiful facade with a crumbling core. Take the time, read the Word, and build your life on the Rock. Amen.
