Grit, Gears, and a Medal: ECI's Michael Rende Takes Bronze!

Congratulations to Michael Rende for representing ECI at the Skills Ontario Competition and bringing home the bronze medal! His day included hands-on disassembly and testing of a 4-stroke engine and a 2-stroke marine engine. He completed a written test, performed carburetor diagnostics, electrical system testing, and wrapped up with a brake system tear down of a Yamaha 4x4 ATV. An outstanding performance and a well-earned spot on the podium — we’re incredibly proud of you, Michael! 🥉

Today at ECI our Moderns Department hosted a Métis chef to cook with our French as a Second Language students. 🧑‍🍳✨

During the session, students learned about the historical and cultural significance of Métis cuisine, traditional ingredients, and cooking techniques. Through hands-on experience, they gained a deeper appreciation for Indigenous culture and its connection to food and the land.

Thank you for this unique experience—bon appétit! 🇫🇷 🇨🇦 🔥
